Astronomy In The Community

A mixture of SAS members, guests and passing public were treated to a range of talks and activities including topics on the Moon, JWST, amateur astronomy and an insight into SW radio. Activities for youngsters included mask construction as well a making and launching stomp rockets. Although there was not much activity on the surface of the Sun a range of instruments where available for solar observing. As dusk fell the excited crowd were treated to a tour of the night sky before breaking up to explore more through individual telescope and their owners. One of the few cloudless nights we have had in ages. 19/3/2022
